Senior Pastor, Tim Rupp
Born in California, Pastor Tim was the second of three sons. Growing up as a son of an Air Force member, he lived around the country. In 1979 Tim enlisted in the Air Force; following his discharge in 1983, he joined the San Antonio, Texas Police Department; retiring after 24 years of service in 2007.
Tim’s spiritual journey began early; being born into a Christian family; he was exposed to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ early in life. Tim accepted Jesus as his Savior and was later baptized, publically professing his faith.
In July, 2002, Tim was called into ministry; later that year his call was confirmed by Elm Creek Baptist Church of La Vernia, Texas. Elm Creek called Tim to be their pastor, while he continued to serve on the police department. In 2007, Tim was called to pastor at Eagle Rock Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Retiring from the police department he and his family moved to Idaho Falls.
After serving three years at Eagle Rock, Tim accepted a position as the Director of the Men’s Discipleship Program for the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission in downtown Idaho Falls as well as the Minister of Discipleship at Alliance Covenant Church. On April 1, 2011 Tim accepted the call as senior pastor of River of Life (formally Alliance Covenant Church).
Pastor Tim and his wife Sherry have three children and five grandchildren. Tim is ordained by the Alliance, holds a Doctor of Ministry from Western Seminary, and teaches online for Crown College.
